By DG from CA on 03/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this to use as a base layer for cold weather sports and or for sleeping in at night while backpacking.
The wool is good quality, but after the first wash there were a ton of loose threads at the seams. Whether or not this means it will fall apart quickly is too soon to tell.
By Izeloz from Provo, UT on 03/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cycling, Layering, Running Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great shirt for the money. I really like wool for it's natural wicking and insulation properties. A little finicky on the cleaning requirements but not a big deal as I just wash it with other wool items. Not as high quality as the top end stuff but probably a better bang for your buck. I would buy a Terramar product again.

It's always rather cold in our office, and with this product, I don't have to wear so many sweaters...

Just what I was looking for By Canoe in Quetico John from Chicago, Il. on 02/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking Cons: Arms are a bit short Best Uses: Layering, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted something very lightweight for my ultralight camping gear. This top plus the matching long underwear pants together weigh about 3/4 of 1 lb. I wanted something that would be multi functional and would dry quickly and this has all of those qualities. I will wear it for a base layer in colder (30-50 degree) weather and as a shirt in warmer weather.

He rates Icebreaker shirts above Terramar but this one comes in a very close second.

husband loves material; top too small By outinthecorn from iowa on 01/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband loves the merino wool, and tells me it is really soft and doesn't feel itchy at all. The men's L bottoms fit him fine but the top was too small in the sleeves and torso. I tried it on and the fabric does feel really nice and warm; I'm extremely wool sensitive though so I think after a while I'd feel itchy in them. We exchanged the top for the XL and he's happy.
By silky smooth in Boulder from Boulder, CO on 01/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Cons: Never long enough at wais, Poor Fit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've ordered dozens of these. They last several years, wash after wash, and get softer The problem is they do continue to shrink. They are never long enough at the waist. I'm not able to tuck them in, because they're too short. I'm a small man but have to order X-Large.
