By Wild Hunter from Ohio on 12/28/2007 Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have found several other brands for less money that do a better job of keeping you warm in cold (20's or below). These may be ok for temps warmer than 20 degrees, but then who needs them if it is that warm. Not a good buy for the money.
I will never wear cotton longjohns again By Martin the traditional bowhunter from McArthur, Ohio on 12/19/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Non-itch, Snug Fit, Warm Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these in freezing rain & snow while hunting in treestand for 2 1/2 hours. They did a great job keeping me comfortable enough to stay, which is half the battle.
By Steelhead from Northern Michigan on 12/17/2007 Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist band was at mid torso. Sent back.
By happy camper from Seattle, WA on 12/16/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Outdoor winter work Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm very happy with these. They were very slightly itchy at first but after a washing and some wearing I have found the itchiness gone and a very comfortable wear. I like that they are a snug fit- keeps in the warmth and they fit under pants. (I am of slim build so a larger person may find them a bit tight?) I use them whenever I go out in the cold and rain- either for pleasure or when working. No bad odor like the plastic stuff. I like the idea of a natural fiber next to the skin. Only complaint is that the crotch is a bit too low, making a very wide, or a straddling stance slightly constricted. I do highly recommend them however and would buy them again.
By Chickasaw Charley from Central Oregon on 12/08/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking Best Uses: Cold Weather, First layer only, Snow Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use as a first layer.
Needs help in cooler or windy weather.
Comfortable
Has some stretch allows pretty much unrestricted movement. Unlike a lot of plastic clothes.
Seems to have that natural "glow" of wool rather than the unnatural lack of feel plastic clothes have.
By Cold weather racer from Atlanta, GA on 12/05/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The wool is thin and comfortable and the fit is good. I got these for cold weather and they're not as warm as I wished. I've since got the Smartwool midweight longjohns and they're much thicker (at twice the price). The Terramar longjohns might be good if being thin is a priority - otherwise I don't find them any better than [$] longjohns from walmart.
Comfortable, breatheble, and warm By Ken from Centreville, VA on 11/28/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cycling Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were a great additional layer for cycling, and were also great to have on when watching a football game in 40 degree weather. Another nice feature is that when you come back inside, they don't feel too warm.
Good base layer with low weight By W.O. from Wheaton, IL on 11/28/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Cons: waist band is too tight Best Uses: Cold Weather, Competition, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Light, stretchy, almost sheer fabric. Good for high exertion activities. Only good as a base layer. Probably not adequate for low exertion activity or when you need a lot of warmth. I like wool vs synthetic fabrics for winter running.
