By Alan from Ross Island, Antarctica on 07/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been using a couple pair of these as a base layer in cold weather. They get used every day, and mostly do all right, protected as they are by outer layers. However, after about a month's worth of wear (each) the seat of both pairs has split right down the middle. What with boxers beneath it and layers outside it, this doesn't really hurt performance too much, but it is a strike against it - it shouldn't wear out that fast. One pair also tore near the waistband when I first pulled them on, from the pressure of my thumb. That said, the legs themselves have not given me any problems, and I'm still using the same two pairs after almost five months of daily use. These work well enough as a cheap base layer, so I've ordered a couple more pairs.

Warm, soft, and not a bad price. I've worn them around the home and plan on giving them a hiking test in a few weeks, however, just wearing them around here has given me confidence they will perform.
