Let the temp fall, these are soft & warm By greg from buffalo, ny on 01/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice product. Used them alpine skiing with temps in single digits with non-insulated snow pants. My legs stayed warm here in Buffalo, NY. Previous review suggested washing before first wearing and I would also recommend that. But when you pull them out of the washer, they smell like wet sheep until they dry. I line dry mine, not dryer. But otherwise I really like them. Probably could wear them under nicer pants if you have a job where you are outside often in cold weather. I think they are thin enough for that.

Too light for extreme cold by themselevs. Great for temps down to -5. They work very well
