I bought another brand of merino wool bottoms at the same time I bought these and these are much better quality (the other brand didn't have a fly. I wear them as a base layer for cold weather running and they do exactly what they are supposed to. That is,keep you warm and dry!

Comments:
Nice product. Used them alpine skiing with temps in single digits with non-insulated snow pants. My legs stayed warm here in Buffalo, NY. Previous review suggested washing before first wearing and I would also recommend that. But when you pull them out of the washer, they smell like wet sheep until they dry. I line dry mine, not dryer. But otherwise I really like them. Probably could wear them under nicer pants if you have a job where you are outside often in cold weather. I think they are thin enough for that.

Use with multiple layers for extreme cold sports and hunting. Too light for extreme cold by themselevs. Great for temps down to -5. They work very well

I'm 6'3", 190 lbs and the size L is a good fit (although I wouldn't mind another couple inches of length). Perfect for sleepwear or light activity in the cold.

I hike daily in U.P. Michigan wear the temp are low and the snow fall are high. This product works well for me when I am snow shoeing in the western U.P. snowbelt country. I would get more and recommend this to a friend.
