By Traildancer from Glide, OR on 09/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Non-itchy, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Horseback riding, Layering, Traffic flagging Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this shirt on an overnight pack trip in the Cascades. We were about 6000 feet and it froze in the morning. This shirt was warm and very lightweight. Best of all it did not itch. Plus, I just love the burgundy color! I have ordered a matching long sleeve tee.
best product for the price By ice welder from where its 0 on a good day on 08/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this product as my second layer for working in extreme cold climates. It is comfortable, light weight, non- restrictive, and stands up to alot of rough conditions. I buy this product every year and believe me if a product dosen't work for me I dont get cold twice.
By Adventuregirl from Austin, TX on 08/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Warm Cons: Poor Fit, Unflattering Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this to wear as a top layer over a cami or the only layer under my shell for warmer weather skiing, but it's too boxy to be flattering. The torso was big and the sleeves a bit short so it's going back.
By pamaza from palmer, alaska on 04/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
By Granny Em from Brainerd MN on 03/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I found this shirt to fit it's description and it is an excellent layer for biking, xc skiing now shoveling, etc. The neck tab referred to in other reviews is a small addition at the top of the placket that can be folded over to cover the zipper tab so it doesn't poke you in the neck - very nice. I ordered an xl based on prior reviews that described it as snug fitting, but a large would have been OK. The fabric is relatively thin - probably not suited as an indoor top without something under or over it.
excellent - neck fits fine By Avid x/c skier & biker from Hackensack, NJ on 02/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cycling, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The zip-neck fits nicely whether zipped or left open (I'm 5-foot-2 and 125 lbs), and I didn't detect the "unsightly bulge" someone else complained about. The fabric quality is outstanding. I wore it as the second of three layers for 6 hours of strenuous cross-country skiing at about 20 degrees F, and was totally comfortable. And absolutely no odor at the end of the day! I'm a Merino wool convert.
Headline tells exactly what the product By Pat the Walker from Cincinnati, Ohio on 01/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this product as a layer over a silk undershirt for a warm light weight addition when I walk. I washed it as instructed and was pleased with the result.
By cold-in-winter from Columbus, Ohio on 01/23/2009 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cycling, Layering Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Warm and soft. Would be an ideal garment, were it not for an unsightly bulge at the top of the zipper which is sewn in the wrong way. Not worth returning, but cannot be worn in public.
By Joan from Cedar Rapids, IA on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Not skin tight like some, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great base layer.
By ashmoves from seattle wa on 01/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this for layering around the house and out hiking/snowshoeing. It is lightweight, soft, and warm. I like the zip neck. Craftsmanship is fair at best (the cut is a little off) but IMO that is reflected in the price. I also find the torso a bit short but overall I would say this is a decent value for the price.
