Got them for my girls, size small, for girls aged 9 and 11. They loved them for skiing.
By WasatchRockhopper from Salt Lake, UT on 01/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Thin but warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Nordic skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Already a fan of Bridgedale socks, I figured I wouldn't be disappointed by this latest purchase. As a woman with large calves, I appreciate that these socks fit completely over the calf and are not tight at the top. They are thin, which I prefer, but warm due to the wool. This is pretty much the only ski sock I will buy now.
If you are fussy about how things look, the ones I ended up with were clearly marked as "samples" around the toe (although brand new and never used, obviously). This has zero effect on the way the sock functioned!
By Downhill Mom from Seattle, WA on 01/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Insulating, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks fit well and are not bulky. They kept my feet warm most of the day, although the tips of my toes did get cold by day's end. Very comfortable.

It's a very good sock, and I'll likely use it for other winter activities (like cross country skiing). But, if you, like I, want an ultra-thin sock, the Rohrner ultra-light is the way to go.

By NeCe rides horses from Papillion, NE on 01/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These are lightweight and not meant for the dryer. Some shrinkage. Not great for REALLY cold weather days. Wish they were longer, I am only 5'5 and they hardly reach the knee after one washing.
