Favorite jacket for many situations By multi sport mama from Big Sky, MT on 01/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in a ski resort, and have used this jacket for many things from walking dogs to skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, outdoor spectating. (I haven't used it in HEAVY snowfall.) So far, it is all that it is advertised to be, has nice touches for comfort and convenience, and also has a nice fit and quilting pattern so you don't look like the Michelin man in it!
By Skiermom from New Jersey on 01/20/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket to layer under a shell on colder days on the mountain. (I teach skiing on the weekends.) I wore it as soon as I took it out of the box! It layers beautifully - not too puffy - and it is just warm enough for all but the coldest of ski days. One warning though: Dark feathers showed through the "maui" blue colored jacket, making it look spotted, which was a bummer as blue was my first color choice. I returned the blue one. Dark feather-show through is not a problem with the chocolate brown color, and I've been happily wearing it ever since I received it!
Light blue color didn't work By Iguanamom from Sun Valley, Idaho on 01/18/2009 Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had to send this jacket back. It was great looking and fit perfectly. The only issue I had was the light blue color showed the dark patches of feathers and it looked like dirty patches. I don't know if the other colors would be better.
By New Mama from Hood River, OR on 01/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I would have liked this jacket if the outer fabric was different. The turqouise color showed the darker down feathers right through, which made it look dirty. strange outer fabric, not sure what it was called, but too thin. The jacket fit great and felt super warm and cozy, but i returned it due to the unappealing look.
Cloudveil Inversion Jacket - defective By Gia from Nashville, TN on 12/29/2008 Cons: Manufacturer's defect Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Defective from the manufacturer. The thin blue external fabric looked shabby & see-through. There were threads hanging loose in many places. The jacket looked like it was spotted with dirt or grease due to the down plums being visible through the blue outer fabic, spotted all over the whole garment, & espesially along the stitching.
A flattering fit and functional, too. The velcro closing cuffs add extra warmth and the collar is so cozy. So nice, I couldn't wait until Christmas to wear it!
