By Queen of Green from Oakland, Maine on 07/07/2009 Pros: Regulates Temperature Well Cons: Bunches Up, Wears Out Quickly Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time I wore the socks the elastic broke and started to unravel. The second time I wore them, the aforementioned condition caused the sock to bunch up. I am disappointed in this product and wish I hadn't bought two pairs.

By Alley Cat from Topanga, CA on 05/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The socks frayed immmediately and I doubt they will last. They didn't seem to absort the moisture that well, I found them hot and somewhat bulky inside my boot. May be ok for sports in tennis shoes, may be ok for short hikes but not for all day hikes.
I've definitely worn much better socks than these.
I'm glad I only got one pair.

The best of a light workhorse. By Whiskey Sissy from Honeoye NY on 01/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these comfort work horses on a daily basis. They wash well and do not lose their shape. They are very comfortable, offer warmth and durability with out bulk. I tell all my friends about them and steer them towards Sierra Trading Post for the best deal. I can not figure out why they are seconds. The workmanship is wonderful.
By DSMCO from Des Moines, IA on 07/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the padding at the heel of this sock as I have trouble with that area and my shoe. The sock is a little thick for what I'm doing, which is training for a marathon. But the thinner socks kept causing problems for me. I have had this brand before and I already see the same issue - the spots that rub normally, such as the heel, tend to rub through more quickly than I think a sock like this should.
