By A Flycaster from Corte Madera, CA on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear an 11 and the XL fit perfectly. Sure they're snug to pull on and remove, but they're neoprene booties, not gym socks. Waddaya expect? These will be great for those days on the water when it's too hot for waders--which is exactly why I got 'em since I had to cut a session short last summer after fishing in cold morning water wearing only river sandals. Brrrrr!
Believe it, these are snug! By SalmonEgg from Athens, GA on 09/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Prompted by the other reviews, I ordered a size up (I usually wear a 9.5 shoe but ordered a large) and these fit well, if snugly. They're easier to get on if you turn the foot inside out and sort of step through the ankle, rather than trying to pull them on like a sock. Should be nice for wet wading under my usual pair of boots.
By JM from Tennessee on 09/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I worked in these wading socks almost every single day, for hours on end, over summer 2009, and have been pleased with their performance. This included fishing, hiking, snorkeling, and many other activities, so we're talking some serious mileage. I wear a size 11 shoe, and ordered the XL, which fits perfectly. Mine are fairly beat up at this stage, but if they ever get to the point of needing replaced, I'll buy another of this type. Only reason they don't get 4 stars is that they have shown some signs of wear.
By Scuppy from Ohio on 07/15/2009 Cons: Size 9 to 11 doesn't 10 Best Uses: Who knows - don't fit Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] Medium, size 8 to 10 is described as fitting over waders. I have a size 10 foot and couldn't put them on bare-foot - which is how I intended to wear them for wet wading. Exchanged for size 9-11 (Large) and still couldn't fit my size 10 foot into them barefoot. [...] I decided it would be better to buy them someplace where I could try them on first.
Should be Great Booties for Wet Wading!! By Earl from Birmingham, AL on 06/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading the other comments about the booties running small I ordered a large and X-large. I wear a size 9 shoe medium width and will use these for wet wading either barefoot or with liner socks. The large was entirely too tight around my ankle and heel as I slipped the booties on and off but fit my foot quite well once I pulled them over the heel. I opted for the X-large for the ease of putting the booties on and taking them off. There is ample room in the X-Large bootie for a larger foot than my size 9. My wife wears a women's size 6 shoe and the men's small fit her fine. The Booties are made well and are comfortable... what you would expect from Cloudveil. I gave them a 4 star rating only because of the tight fit on the ankle and heel. Have not tried them out on the water yet but am conifident they will work fine.

By dryfly from LA, CA on 03/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not sure why the other poster is having problems putting them on. I wear a size 8.5 shoe and the medium gaiters slip on without a problem (no more difficult than SCUBA booties). My feet would be wallowing in any bigger size. Haven't used them enough to comment on durability.
