Rare "Made in USA" Masterpiece By USA Christmas from Colorado on 12/13/2008 Pros: Made in USA, Quality product, Tough as nails Cons: Very heavy fabric weight Describe Yourself: Recreational Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My challenge this Christmas: 100% made in USA. Try finding made in USA hunting apparel at your local retailer! I was excited to find that Sierra had this Filson vest for my budding 10 year old hunter. A few weeks ago, I purchased an “imported” upland vest at a local retailer. Although it was a historically respected brand, the stitching was literally pulling apart on the game bag seams.
My son may outgrow this Filson vest, but it won’t fall apart – and you can go to the field to carry on a great American tradition with genuine AMERICAN MADE equipment.
Note on cons: the tincloth is a very heavy fabric. Be prepared for a physically heavier-than-usual garment.
