I haven't hiked in them yet, but they seem very comfortable. The construction seems good. I backpack and hike in wet or cold conditions.

I work in Afghanistan, prolly one of the harshest climates in the world, not to mention rugged. I haven't had wet feet since I bought these, ankle support is good. I just really can't complain.
They can get a lil hot, and don't wear em on a long flight, they get really hot.
