By cammo from Ft. Walton Beach, FL on 03/17/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water proof, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Military, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: With my profession we spend many hours in boots. A packed ruck sack with 40-100 lbs of additional weight and these boots are great for it. These boots withstand standing water with ease. They fit a little snug but that is because I was sent a whole size smaller than ordered. I have no question that Sierra would have replaced them but I did not have time to wait for another pair to arrive.

By C from South Bend, IN on 01/03/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Flexible, Narrow, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Hiker Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wonderful boot to replace a much to heavy pair of winter boots. The unique tongue construction works really well in securing a good fit. They are narrow, which is perfect for me (I have an A-width foot, size 11.)
The fit and finish are excellent and the feel, though a bit stiff the first time, is becoming very comfortable.
I highly recommend these boots after two weeks of working and walking in them. They handle snow well and keep out the cold of northern Indiana.
By Outdoor Enthusiast from Santa Fe, New Mexico on 01/02/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well made with obvious craftmanship - far better than anything you'll see from China. Comfortable from day one. Have not worn them in rocky terrain yet, just snow & ice & mud, but they seem to have great traction.
By Outside in Oregon from Oregon on 12/17/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these boots for landscaping in Oregon. Under many conditions they have been comfortable and supportive and offer great traction. I dont see any pros or cons with the fused tongue, its just different.
By mountain man from bethlehem, pa on 11/12/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i've been searching for a new pair of boots for about 8 months...needless to say my search is over. tried asolo, raichle, merrell, alico....none of them fit my foot correctly, or my foot was slightly out of sinc with their sizing. here's my reaction:
first thing i noticed, feel incredibly light. second thing, the leather is high quality, and the rand is STITCHED, not just cemented on like many other boot makers. put them on and wow, the fit is perfect for my foot, and the unique lacing system makes it feel like you have a neoprene dive boot on, no lace pressure at all. the sole is stiff so you don't feel rocks underfoot, but flexible enough to walk down stairs, etc, without discomfort. they are also incredibly comfortable, wore them around school for 6 hours straight, no problems.
By Old Gaffer from Sheridan, WY on 11/08/2008 Pros: Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Loose fitting uppers, No Support Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Not true to size. Uppers had way too much material
