I havn,t climbed with these yet , but have wore them working , they lock your leg to your foot in a very nice way when laced up snug ... Will be using them on the mountains in the Copper River Valley , the Matanuska Valley , and hopefully on Mt Hood in Oregon this spring ... I may even see about Keystone Canyon ice climbing as it is right down the hwy. Will report back with particulars. Will also give them a thuro temp rating as we get -60 F. here ...

I wear a size 10 US (slightly wider foot) & I needed a size 12 US boot to fit without having to worry about my toes hitting the end of the boot......especially important on the downhill portion of the climb!

I just used my boots for the first time. Perfect boot for cold weather glacier travel, steep ice and mixed climbing. My feet were warm and comfortable the whole time. The only down side is that these boots have no traction at all on wet or frozen rock if your not wearing crampons. Over all, a very nice boot.

Comments:
These boots run small. I normally take a mens 7 maybe 7 1/2. I bought these in an 8 hoping that they would run small or I could add an insole to add girth. I was amazed that they fit perfectly! I have heard nothing but good things from my mountaineering companions who wear these boots. My asolo inner boots are starting to wear in the heel, time for another boot, glad these were here at such a great buy.

By Wyoclimber from Wyoming on 04/03/2009

Comments:
While heavier than some mountaineering boots I've owned, these are the real deal for cold weather glacier travel with removable liners you can dry/keep warm in your sleeping bag. They are also available with a high altitude for even more warmth.

Comments:
I used these boots just about right out of the box for a winter climb of Mt Washinton. Conditions were subzero. Boots performed great,no blisters, plenty of support for crampons up the ice. Feet were never cold unlike friends that had leather boots. Sized one half size larger than US and fit great

This is a great all around mountaineering boot. they are on close out here because there putting in the High Altitude liner standard now. If you are going climbing above 6,000m then maybe you want that, otherwise here in the lower 48 their fine. Be careful on the sizing I usually wear an 8 1/2 and I had to go with a 9 1/2 before they would fit. Go try em on elsewhere then order them from here. Great price!
