By Rico the Adventure Guy from Oklahoma City, OK on 10/10/2009 Pros: Color, Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight, Side lacing, Water drains well Best Uses: Portaging, Wet-entry canoeing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased for wilderness canoeing. Was looking for alternative to popular jungle boots, which seem too bulky. Performed very well on an 8-day Canadian expedition. Wore with merino wool hiking socks and synthetic liners. Gripped relatively well on rocks under water. Side-lace design were out of the way of brush and debris. Boots afforded sufficient ankle support. Stitching of toe components is a real disappointment, considering MSRP. Complete drying takes time, unless boots are in direct sunlight. Would buy again only if substantially discounted.
Good value at the discounted price By Scouter from Lakewood, CO on 08/11/2009 Pros: Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Canoeing, Fly Fishing Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these boots on an eight day canoe trip in Saskatchewan and they performed very will through some difficult portages. They are a little hard and I did have some hot spots but I think it is because the boots only come in full sizes. I will try a thicker set of wool socks the next time I use them.
By monkey boy from Virginia Beach, Va on 08/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, On the job Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am in the Navy and my job is very hard on the feet and boots. I needed a good boot to be tough in the field on rough terrain as well as good in and around the water. I wore this boot carrying loads up to 50 pounds through the woods. I also wore them on the boat and dive side. This boot also works great in the water. Instead of wearing a booty I wore the OTB and ROCKET II fins while diving. So far this boot has not disappointed. I will continue to abuse them in Iraq this winter and keep you updated.
Good Concept, Poor Execution. By Sam from Long Beach, CA on 07/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: Poor Construction, Wears Easily Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, River Hiking, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for hiking in creeks during amphibian surveys. They were comfortable and supportive right out of the box and they drain and dry beautifully. They performed so well during the 1st week of use that I bought a second pair. Unfortunately, after about 5 weeks, the stitching unravelled and these boots are of no use to me anymore. It's a shame that they're so good for my needs but they're just not built to last. If not for the poor stitching, I would have given these boots 4 or 5 stars.

By Al from WA state on 07/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, River tubing, Work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I dont fish but I think these boots are great for anything around water or just wearing around. The feeling of air rushing between my toes as I walk in these is great and they are very comfortable. Please be aware that they are very rigid in the sole though so your feet have to build up to them. I find them comfortable though. I went tubing on the green river for a hour and a half and these shoes where dry half a mile up the road when we got out, plus they protected my feet against rocks and such without adding weight. If you are considering these boots just research them so you know what your getting, I did and I'm extremely satisfied. Plus STP has the greatest prices, everyone else wanted [$], I love this site.
By JR from LeSueur,Mn on 06/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would get one size larger than normal shoe size but these may breakin and be perfect
By Marty from SW Colo on 06/03/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for River surfing, to protect my feet. I was looking for something sturdier than a wet suit bootie. The description said made for the Navy Seals. This is chinese junk. The soles offer no support and the uppers are cheap mesh. I replaced them with rubber sole fishing boots which were cheaper even though not on sale.
Comfortable on first day of use By Page from Fresno, CA on 05/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore them for a whole day while fishing a creek with rocky terrain and a lake with soft mud along the shore. They were very comfortable except for the velcro band around the top. After some adjusting, I forgot that I had them on.
They seem like a very good product so far.
