White Mountains on the AT in New Hampshire; got
caught in terrible rain up on the ridge, fairly cold
(but not freezing) weather. Two of these bags kept
my adult sons comfortable through the night. The
bags are not the lightest in their class, but great
for the price.

It is a little heavier than I would prefer but I will carry a few extra pounds for a 15 degree bag under $50. This bag also stayed dry despite the inside of our tent getting soaked during a down pour. It did the job nicely and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good equipment at an affordable price.

As a novice backpacker I knew I needed my supplies to be light, but also comfortable when sleeping. This bag was certainly light and could be compressed well. I cannot comment on the warmth as I slept on top of it due to the warm air, but it feels good and I believe it will do well in colder temperatures.
By Habsfan124 from Fort Collins, CO on 08/18/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought the Sorcerer a month ago, and have used it on two camping trips. The first was a backwoods camping trip in early August at 10,500 feet. The other was a mid-August car camping trip, in which the first nite it got down to 25 F. Both trips, the bag kept my wife and I warm. We each have a sorcerer. My wife is usually cold, so whenever she says she was warm, I would endorse the product. Just two cons....the zipper snags very easily, so take your time zippering, and the second is the velcro pad for the hood...if you do not use it, it can sandpaper your chin. Overall, very satisfied.

We had to scare up a couple of new sleeping bags to take the family on it's first "real" backpacking trip this summer. (kids are 10, 7, & 4). I wasn't sure what I'd be getting at this price, but it's all there; solid Marmot construction, no cold spots/drafts, roomy inside (I got the "long" ... I'm 6'3"). Can't really vouch for the temperature rating after 1 summer trip, but I think it's spot-on.
I'm very pleased with both the weight and compressibility too. We had no problem getting all the gear into basically 2 packs.

Very fluffy bag. Lofts like down. Warm. Nylon shell seems like it could be suscetable to rips or snags and it isn't rip-stop fabric. will see how it holds up over time.
