In fact, the tag stated that they are intended for those who are going to be in the saddle for 24 hours!
Fortunately, the liner is secured by a small loop that can easily be cut without causing any damage.
I will wear the outer shorts w/ a less bulky liner and hang onto the super padded liner in case I need them after several days riding.

These are my first non-triathlon shorts, so I can't speak to the padding. All in all the shorts are on the small size, so if you're in between sizes, go with the larger shorts. Also, the design is a decal that will probably peel off after several washes, so I wouldn't pay extra just for the decal, even though it is unusual and attractive

There was too much of it for me and after a long day of riding I don't want to feel the padding after riding, (although I would take them off for washing anyway). The length was great.

They are so incredibly comfortable and longer than normal biking shorts. Love them and they are now my favorite shorts to ride in. They do run a little big though so if your on the fence of one size or another go smaller.

I am not the size of most athletic clothes designers aim for I am short with big legs (not eight feet tall and 25 pounds) but I am athletic .
So bought these shorts weird fit but they work ok.
the padding feels like a loaf of bread the outside shorts are about a size larger than the liner the waist is huge but has a strap to tighten
overall ok and I am going to keep them and wear them
