They are very comfortable and supportive, I do not have great feet and these shoes make a big difference,actually they were better looking than I had imagined. They do run a full half size too small.

I can wear them with socks or not. I hike in them daily and even though they are somewhat open, it can be in the 40's and my bare feet will stay comfortable. I even wear them hiking in the rain.
