I didn't like the heel strap. For a casual sandal they might be ok, but I wanted to have more support in the heel.

One drawback, and I'd guess just a problem for those with high insteps, is that if you loosen the main laces enough for comfort over your instep, there's then some slippage in the heel area. The neoprene heel cup does an OK job, but it'll never hold your heel in there really snug. E.g. - if I wear these walking the dogs in the woods and face a bit of an incline, I worry that my heel will pop out of the shoe on ascent. If there was a way to adjust or tighten the heel strap, this shoe would've gotten a 5. [...]

The heel is different and there is no way to adjust it.
