Both straps are a little too loose.
By Chicago the Raft Guide from Peshtigo River, WI on 04/29/2009 Cons: Heel strap snapped, Wear Out Quickly Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a river raft guide who counts on his gear to perform. The heel strap snapped at the put-in on a huge trip. On my first trip wearing them! Nuff said.
By Bill from Montana on 04/21/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like keens in general but this pair is just what I wanted. They are easy to put on and take off and yet stable. I would not recommend them for off road hiking though.
By gavdog from Black Hills, SD on 04/21/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoe, I also own several pairs of keen shoes, and also a pair of keen sandals that I wear for everyday in the summer. These are a mixture of both. The one complaint I have about the keen sandals is while hiking or walking were small rocks are present it never fails you end up with one in your shoe. These totally remedy this problem with the mesh between the straps and material encompassing your heal. Its the best of both worlds A sandal/shoe you can wear on the most of adventurous hikes, or simply wear shopping downtown.
Keen San Sebastian Shoes ROCK... By David from Shelbyville, Tennessee on 04/20/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Keen shoes are the best shoes I have ever found. When I heard of the San Sebastian I wasn't sure if they would be durable because of the strap on the back. Since buying these the strap has held up wonderfully. I have washed them "in the washer" two times, have cleaned out a fence row at my father's house, and have worked around my house in them on a regular basis. They have held up good, provide good support, and are a "for sure" recommendation to others...

By Marietje from Worthington, OH on 04/14/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great, Stable Cons: Stains Easily, Stains socks Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really love these shoes except for one issue. You had better wear black or dark blue socks with the grey shoes. The dye stains my socks; I have to use spray and wash on every pair of socks to partially remove the excess dye. It is not just the sides of the shoe, but the insoles as well. I am hoping that this issue will resolve over time (ie: there can only be so much dye!!!).
