Perfect Pack
By Dave from Virginia on 11/10/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Day Hikes, Extended Hikes, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Professional Guide
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Fantastic. Top-notch craftsmanship, well engineered, I love the semi-trampoline suspension, and it looks slick. Would've liked to pick it up when STP had it for [$], but it's still a fantastic pack. Think of it as an Osprey Atmos 50 with front access.

Not impressed - complicated and cheap
By Zipzangboom from Texas on 10/20/2009
Cons:
Bad Padding, Restricts Movement, Weak Seams
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
What Is Your Gear Style:
Minimalist
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Loaded this pack with my gear, tried it on, and it was extremely uncomfortable. For being a high-end pack the materials were rather cheap in my opinion. The lid does not close very well (leaves opening at top if you do not work to close it properly). Many better packs at much lower prices than this pack.

Best Uses:

What Is Your Gear Style:

Comments:
I did not try it in the field yet, but after loading a heavy gear I really liked the adjustable back panel and all the customization options. Main selling points certainly are: front loading (very useful!!!), lots of pockets, loops, rain cover and overall quality! The additional plus is shoulder straps' shape: not too wide and bulky, which I found very comfortable regarding my thin shoulders (I am a petite size women :-)

Comments:
Just got back from 5 day trip. The pack was perfect since we tried not to bring too much stuff. Sleeping bag and extra food fit fine, but it was warm, and we did not need a lot of clothes. Would have been too small for over nights in colder weather. All features were great.

Had an older model of this pack, lasted 5 full trail seasons and was still rockin' when it got stolen. Trail work will prove a piece of gear like no other activity, and if this pack holds up like my last one did, I am a fan
