By Thumper from Puyallup, WA on 09/21/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These just fit weird so I sent them back. The material felt fine but the cit was odd.

By Bigfoot from Long Island on 05/30/2009 Pros: Retains Body Heat, Soft Best Uses: Lounging, Sleeping Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The large size fits my frame (5'll", 210) and it has a comfortable feel. I purchased to have a warm set of clothes for a long trek with overnight temps reaching into the mid 20s. I believe it will be up to the task. Not sure how durable this garment is but I can tell it will at least last for the duration of my hike. After that, it could serve as winter pajamas or a winter under layer for low to moderate physical activity.
Not heavy weight but medium weight By 911skibum from Beaver Creek, Colorado on 02/18/2009 Pros: Retains Body Heat, Soft, Stretchy Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Under Clothes Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these "heavy weight" bottoms and I would rate them medium weight based on prior poly pro bottoms that I had.
Also, inseam runs long.

By Slick from Ft Madison, IA on 02/06/2009 Pros: Retains Body Heat, Soft Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Under Clothes Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These have sort of a thin inner fleece. They're perfect for what I wanted. I layer with them, and appreciate the extra warmth when I shovel that Midwest snow!
It will keep you warm - without doubt By DrTito from Houston, TX on 01/21/2009 Pros: Retains Body Heat, Soft, Stretchy, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Sleeping, Under Clothes Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got these few weeks ago and so far I am very impressed. They fit just right (not too tight, not too loose) and keep my legs incredibly warm. Will use them for skiing in Colorado and winter camping in Texas.
To give you an idea, when the mornings are cold around the house, I wear these by itself while having a midweight top and a polyester sweater over it to get the uniform body warmth - meaning, these bottoms replace two midweight layers easily without sacrificing comfort.
One thing that should be noted though - my legs aren't very long, perhaps average or shorter than average and they come down just to my ankle (suits me well as I tuck them into my socks when wearing something over it). For folks with longer than average legs, they may be just a tiny bit too short. Minimal piling may occur if you sit on abrasive surfaces but after all, these are underwear and not outerwear so even with little pile, who cares.
Definitely recommended.

By Char from Central Oregon on 11/25/2008 Pros: Retains Body Heat, Soft, Stretchy, Wicks Away Moisture Cons: Outer fabric pills easily, Outer fabric snags easily Best Uses: Lounging, Outdoor Activities, Sleeping, Under Clothes Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These are not like the "Polarskins" I have bought in the past. The older ones don't snag, pill, or tear, even if my husband burns a hole in them. They were medium to heavy weight fleece, both inside and out, one solid piece of fabric. These new "Polarskins" are a whole new product. Thin to medium fleece on the inside, with a polyester knit type fabric on the outside. My husband says they are comfortable, but not as comfy as his old ones. We can already see the snags and pills on the new ones. We will keep them, because he needs them this winter. I can't find the older style anywhere. I thought that's what I was ordering here, since they didn't have drawstrings, or pockets, which is what he wanted. The pictures weren't clear and I assumed the name Polarskin meant they were the same product.
