By diane the knitter from boston on 01/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't used them yet, but they seem great for skiing. They are light weight and waterproof, but I haven't worn them outside yet. I usually wear a 6 and ordered the 8 per the feedback that they run small. The 8 fits me perfectly. Can't wait to try them on the slopes!
By Lucy from Indidnapolis on 12/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading the other reviews I ordered up 2 sizes. I usually wear a 6 and got a 10. They are a little too big, but I decided to keep the 10's since I am going to use these in really cold weather. By the time I tuck in 3 shirt tails and add long underwear the fit is okay for the money. I am 5'2" and the length is too long. With zippers at the bottom, there is no way to shorten them easily. However,I am able to turn the bottom of the legs under and they stay put during my hikes. They kept me warm on a hike at 7 degrees. I also had on long underwear. I didn't know if I needed them, but at those temps I didn't want to take a chance.
Fits small-order 2 sizes up; high wasted By Outdoor Mom from Seattle on 12/08/2008 Pros: Durable, Stylish, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features, Poor Sizing Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Size feels too small, even though I ordered 1-2 sizes larger than my pant size. Waste is quite high and there is little give. Tight around crotch and upper thigh.
Probably great but too small By Science teacher from Salt Lake City, UT on 11/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants run small. Also, if you want pants for backcountry touring (as the name suggests), you should get some that have either inseam or side-leg zips for ventilation.
Cute, Good Quality and Features By Skiier from Massachusetts on 07/21/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Getting Started Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered size 38, and this size is what I would normally order - size conversion given in product description (telling that 38 corresponds to 10) is just incorrect. I wear normally 4-6 American and 38-40 European. The waist is a little big - will need suspenders. I am 5'1", and the length (30")is perfect for me - leg bottoms go over ski boots. Normally (for casual usage) I wear shorter pants. Thanks to all previous reviewers for description of size and cut. The cut is perfect for me: narrow waist relative to the hips.
Great pants - order a size up! By phoeb598 from Plainsboro, NJ on 06/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pant's are great - use them for alpine hikes. Order one size larger as they can be snug in the thighs for everyone except the most rail thin of builds
By phoeb598 from NJ on 04/30/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great pants - only thing is the legs are a bit slim so order a size (or 2) up
By Snow mom from Berkeley, CA on 04/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good, warm, basic black ski pant. The women's size 8 was a little snug, on my daughter, however. (We were advised that this product runs small, but she is normally a size 6.)
By R from CT on 12/26/2007 Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am returning these pant and getting the next size larger, even though I order one size larger than I typically wear.
