Nice, But Smaller Than Expected By Chester from Columbus, OH on 06/25/2008 Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a size 12 shoe. I wanted a sock that fit, but wasn't snug. So I ordered the XL. They are a little short and exert a small pressure on my toes. I have had bunion surgery on both feet so I am very particular what I wear. If they had an xxl, I would give these a 5 star rating.

By Christoff Dan from Greenwater, WA on 06/19/2008 Cons: Smaller than normal, Thin Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered multiple pairs of these socks to use on my upcoming 18 day trek in Mt. Rainier National Park on the Wonderland Trail. I was sorely disappointed by their fit and size when they arrived. They were advertised as mid-weight and calf length but seem to be quite a bit thinner than I would have expected for a mid-weight and much shorter by at least 2" than I expected. In lieu of sending them back they were quickly grabbed up by my girlfriend since they fit her foot much better. I ordered the size large as I wear a size 10 1/2 boot consistantly. My girlfriend wears a women's 9 1/2 - 10 - and they seem to work for her.

By Avid Traveler from Indianapolis, IN on 03/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable, however after just two weeks and a couple of 12 hour travel days in them, a hole is starting to develop where two of the seems come together on top of the foot.
It may not be a big deal, but if the hole grows they will become an expensive dust rag.
