I wear them in hiking, sport and street shoes. The only footwear I do not use them is for sandals (only because my children would mock me silly).

By Combat Boots from Bountiful, UT on 04/27/2009 Best Uses: Controls foot odor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have worn a pair of these sock liners for several days in a row under my regular socks, and they seems to do a great job of keeping my feet ( and the socks themselves ) odor-free.
A good fast drying travel sock By Max from Oakland, CA on 04/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dry Easily, Wicking Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for travel because it dries quickly after washing. Can also be used as a sock liner for heavy hiking socks. I have used similar socks to line my wader socks when fishing, so that the wader socks can be worn for 2 or 3 days with a fresh liner each day.
Great light or liner socks By wulfy from San Jose ca on 04/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dry Easily, Durable, Wicking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are thin liner socks, with an added bonus of X-static silver threads. They really help control foot fungus and foot odors.
On their own, they are nice for light use on hot days. Otherwise wear them under heavier wool socks as a liner.

By dk from Loveland, CO on 04/07/2009 Best Uses: Liner for hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: A pair I ordered had a manufacturing flaw with a crease in the sole, which causes discomfort and possible blistering. Sock itself is just fine, but this one shouldn't have left the manufacturing line nor Sierra Trading post due to quality flaw. Couldn't return because it's not worth the cost of losing shipping fee.
