Though he wears rain gear and rubber boots, some days, he was coming home with still-damp cotton socks. Yuck! I decided to find him wool socks so his feet would stay warmer and more comfortable. These are the thinnest wool socks he owns, which is good for slightly damp days when he wears his regular shoes instead of rubber boots. I've had no complaints about itchiness or the switch from the cotton socks he's worn since he was a toddler. I will buy more of these in various colors as I find them discounted.

Probably won't last as long as I'd hoped, as I think these run a bit small. They seem to work just like my own "everyday" smartwool socks - comfy and warm. So happy to finally have everyday wool socks for my kids' winter wardrobe.

THEY TEND TO BE SMALL, BUT THESE SOCKS WERE EXTREMELY TINY. UnLESS YOUR CHILDREN ARE VERY YOUNG, I wouldn't even buy children sizes in the smartwool brand.

I have purchased the darker grey for my child in every size. They are not the thinest socks but surely not thick. So, I am glad that my child has adjustable width shoes to make these a perfect fit.
