perfect for hot climates + as undersock By Reg Gilbert from Buffalo, New York on 11/20/2008 Pros: Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Worn in pretty hot climates (e.g., Cuba in the summer), these socks ("light" = quite thin, though padded a bit underfoot; "mini-crew" = just over the ankles) ensured that my feet never sweated - amazing. I have also been using them in northern winters as undersocks to medium-thickness smartwool socks (vs. wearing the thickest smartwool socks on their own), finding that a bit more likely to keep me sweat-free in a range of cold temperatures.
