I am 5'9" with a very athletic build -- I wear a medium top and and 8-10 in pants, depending on style/designer. Since I bought these for skiing, I went up in size (website said to order one up -- I went 2!!!). I almost laughed trying them on -- they fit like a small. Don't bother with these. And - the belt buckle looks soooo cheesy!
