I own other Merino wool socks and love them, but the Bridgedale design fits just right, provides support in the arch and padding in the heel and balls of the foot. They are designed for the specific activity - hiking, but they work well for walking and everday activity too. They are my new favorite socks.

They do a great job keeping my feet warm and dry in 30-40 degree temperatures.

Support in all the right places! By Hiker from Pennsylvania on 08/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design, Stylish Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like to feel support in a hiking sock. Loose socks produces friction which result in blisters.
By Small Sally from Denver, Colorado on 08/05/2008 Pros: Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Stylish, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks come made as a right foot and a left foot. But the blue pair were packaged as two left feet, and the brown pair were packaged as two right feet. Thus, neither pair could be used and had to be returned. I would highly recommend them if they were packaged as a right foot and a left foot.
By Hiker from Massachusetts on 07/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the design - all grey parts are thinner than olive parts. This promises better cooling while hiking. I did not wear the socks yet, so cannot comment on more.
The size S is perfect for me - I am 7.5.
