Absorbant, well-cushioned comfort - By AspenGal from Aspen, CO on 09/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these socks to wear with my Merrel day-hikers. I'm traveling to China, & will be doing a lot of walking on uneven surfaces. To try them out, I wore these socks to work at the lab several times, which involves standing on cement floors & walking all day. They provided a soft, cushioned feel, no sore spots on my feet as I broke in these new hikers, & kept my (sweaty) feet dry all day. They washed well, w/o any noticeable shrinkage from the dryer. I think they'll serve their purpose well, from walking on the Great Wall of China to walking through the powder snow on my sidewalk here in Colorado.

I will order a smaller size next time. I wear a size 8 1/2 which is a large in this brand but I would order a medium to get a snug fit.

I wear them hiking and just around the house like slippers. I wear them in the winter with some of my shoes. They are a bit to bulky to wear all the time. They warm, durable and comfortable. I will buy them again and again.
By Garden Gnome from Atlanta, GA on 06/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Stylish, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work at a garden center, so I'm outside on my feet for ten hours a day everyday. The surface I walk on is gravel over asphalt - not exactly cushioned. These socks have helped ease the stress on my feet, legs, and joints tremendously. Plus, they're cooler than wool and breathe well so I don't overheat.
