I'd had a pair of ex off socks previously; they wore through after a couple of wearings. Not these. They're comfortable, strong, and wick-able. I can use them with dresser business clothes or on a treadmill. They're great for travel. You can wash them out at night and have them clean and dry in 12 or so hours. Other socks do that, too, but these are much more substantial and a heck of a lot cheaper.
The anti-insect thing is no joke. Mosquitoes don't seem to like them.
at the price, these are a great deal, something I'd not have said seven or eight months ago about one of their different lines. I'm ordering more.
By The human owned by Angel, the dog! from Brockton,Ma. on 06/01/2009 Cons: These socks are too tight, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Wanted for walk in woods Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had purchased other buzz off socks from your company with great success...I wore when walking my dog in the woods.
When I saw these I liked the color black which is why I ordered them, but, alas, the fit is very uncomfortable and tight around the calves...I will probably never wear them again.
I am a small woman ,you only had a xlarge for men which I ordered ,because of the color black AND they are too tight in the legs!

By GPS from San Carlos, CA on 02/14/2009 Cons: Bunches Up, Thin, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although made of high quality material, these socks are just sized wrong. They're too long (for my size 13 feet) but are also very narrow and tight-fitting, making them difficult to put on and take off. Also, I don't recall whether the description claimed they're over-the-calf... but they are.

Ticks and Insects Go Away By Mother of Scouts from Prairie Village, KS on 12/30/2008 Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My one son used Buzz Off socks on a Boy Scout campout - the only Scout to do so and the only person on the campout to come home tick-free. This purchase is to buy more Buzz Off socks for his brother who just joined scouting.
