Good quality that I have come to expect By JRL from Cleveland, Ohio on 08/16/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good quality from Lauren and great price. Replaces a similar sportcoat.
Fit a bit odd, decent quality By World's Oldest Keeper from Sacramento, CA on 06/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile, Wardrobe Staple Cons: Irregular Size, Not a big gold button fan Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fit is OK, but Size 50 was a little wider than average in the shoulders and a little narrower than average in the body. It'll need a trip to the tailor to get it right.I'd prefer suit coat buttons rather than gold, and may change them as long as it is going to the tailor.Fabric isn't too wrinkly. It does stretch a bit for comfort. Not the very best of fabrics, but more than OK.It is a basic boring blue blazer for a decent price. Everyone who wears a tie to work needs one or two in serviceable condition. This one is nicer than most.
Acceptable but not quite top-notch By Michael L from San Francisco,m CA on 05/11/2009 Cons: Poor Material, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Pros: Jacket felt comfortable and overall dimensions looked fine. Cons: Material felt thin and easily wrinkled. The fabric doesn't drape well; you can notice the edges of padding material under the fabric for example. There were a couple of tufts in the material as well. The buttons were too shiny, in my opinion; others may feel otherwise. Placement of the two buttons were about 1" lower than I am used to. I thought it had the effect of making the waist look more cylindrical than I wanted. I bought another Lauren jacket at the same time and felt it was better made. (It was the silk/wool blend black that looked more like navy, 38 that felt more like 37, which was perfect for me).
