Sadly, this thing isn't waterproof By Anne from Providence, RI on 10/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Look nice in light rain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Commuting to work by bike Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: When I first got this jacket, I absolutely loved it. I thought it was the best rain jacket I had ever seen. The trim fit is very flattering, the hood had a nice shape, etc... BUT, my first jacket started leaking after about 3 months of use. I replaced it (thanks Sierra Design), and the new one is leaking immediately in heavy rain.
Such a shame...but I need this puppy for function, not fashion.

Want to use as a ski shell. Very high quality jacket, could use a powder skirt, good cut, feminine shape, hood: good adjustability, draw cords leave a long tail hanging though. Have not worn in conditions yet, due to ambivalence of color.
By z-bot from Columbia, SC on 09/17/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket. I am 5'3" and I have so much trouble finding jackets where the sleeves are not too long. This jacket fits well because of the closures at the wrists. I can't wait to wear this jacket.
By earnURturns from fort collins, CO on 01/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Backcountry skiing, Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This really is a technically sound jacket. Waterproof part is 3 layer and very durable but not stiff. Softshell/fleece-lined part is comfortable, stretchy and not too thick or thin. The jacket would be superb for backcountry skiing. I am returning it because of two things: I ski trees a lot and the softshell material( although most likely durable enough) may easy be poked through with a stiff tree branch and secondly because the hood adjustment is a bit awkward. I wear a helmet and still had to pull the elastic pretty taught before I felt like the hood was snug enough to not get blown off by the wind...this ended up leaving long elastic tassels dangling on the outside of the jacket and I figure they might end up slapping me in the face on the way down the mountain. If you don't need a hood on most trips...the jacket would work superb. I'd imagine it to be incredibly breathable and very waterproof. I am not sure it would be very wind proof through the soft shell material though. Love the bright yellow color and the fit. I am usually small size but ordered a large in this to fit layers and it fit fantastic.
