beautiful but a little snug By Diana from Athens, GA on 10/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear a size10-12; I got the size 12-14 for the jacket - it seems a little snug over hips area, but overall I like it ; I guess the next size jacket would have been 16-18 and that's too big

By Duff from Winter Park, CO on 03/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Extreme Conditions, SkiingRiding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in a ski town and it's been great so far for skiing/riding in spring and storm conditions, and I'm hopeful it'll come in handy during spring/summer showers. I ordered the medium and had to exchange it for the small, even though a medium is usually a good fit for me with Mammut products.
By Runs With Scissors from Ann Arbor, MI on 12/11/2008 Pros: Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish Best Uses: Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great for hiking in cold Michigan winters. I wear it over a mid- or heavy-weight turtleneck underneath and I'm warm enough without overheating or worrying about wind chill. It looks great and fits my full figure quite nicely.
A few details that prevented a full 5-star rating: The armpits are a little snug but I've decided I can tolerate it. The reinforced visor on the hood is bent out of shape and I don't know if it can be relaxed. This jacket is called "Comfort Stretch" but I don't detect any stretchiness in the fabric.
The overall positives of the jacket outweigh the tight pits, twisted visor, and misnomer. The soft shell fabric seems very durable and I look forward to using & abusing it for years.
