Fantastic case for the price By Raivyn from SoCal on 08/15/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality, Multiple Carry Options Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Modern, Practical, Stylish, Value-oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this case for our Canon A570IS. It easily fits the camera and the front pocket is used to carry extra batteries. There is a pocket inside the case where the camera is stored to also hold SD cards. It is great to have a case large enough to hold extra batteries as our camera loves to eat them. Even with that capacity, the camera is not too bulky.
The inside of the case is lined with fleece to protect your camera from scratches. The exterior is a tough nylon. The front pocket features a water-resistant nylon and water resistant zipper.
The camera compartment is secured by both a zipper and a velcro flap (the black front pocket is part of the flap). This allows the extra security of having the camera compartment zipped shut + velcro, or the ease of just pulling the velcro flap open and pulling the camera out. I completely disagree with the previous reviewer - It is VERY easy to get the camera out of this bag. Just don't zip the compartment shut. The velcro flap alone is quite secure enough, but if you travel in areas that you want extra security, you have it. We use this non-stop at Disneyland and DisneyWorld - NO problems getting the camera out.
There is a camera strap that secures to the back, or there is a velcro loop that can attach to a backpack strap or belt. We use the strap when we're just out and about, we use the velcro loop when we have it attached to our larger DSLR camera bag or the waist straps of our backpacks.
We have owned this camera bag for nearly a year; its been all over the place and shows no sign of wear. Even the nylon hasn't shown any wear.
Overall - GREAT small camera bag, highly versatile, top quality. I bought several for family members as gifts.

By Always traveling from Hoodsport, WA on 06/21/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Think it will be good for travel. Able to put discs and battery charger as well as camera. Attachment for strap is a weak area. Made of plastic I'm afraid it will tear.
High quality and well designed By Serious Amateur Photographer from Tampa, FL on 06/17/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This case is well designed, has a soft inner liner that won't scratch the LCD or optics, and has a good sized exterior pocket. The exterior zipper looks like it is very water resistant and overall the fit, finish and quality of materials is everything I've come to expect from Mountainsmith products. This is my third Mountainsmith case, I have a DSLR case and an XXL Camera bag and they are all excellent quality, ruggedly made gear.
