Great for college dorm rooms By Afton Crozet from Central VA on 06/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Simple design. Great for back-up light for college dorm room. Expect my child to place it in her dorm room window for night/power outage use. No need to worry about batteries.
By Lisa from Jacksonville, Florida on 06/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: What a wonderful idea- the batteries will " never die". The light is bright enough to see up close, within about ten feet. I bought one for all my family members.

By mumseyllama from Underhill VT on 05/27/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Terrific flashlight. Bright beam. It sits in a sunny window waiting for the power to go off. I've bought one for each of my 3 college kids to have in their dorms. Also one for the husband and grandparents. No more batteries! Yay!!
By Happy Camper from Houston, TX on 05/26/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The solar works very well. I sat them (I bought 2) outside for a few hours on a slightly overcast day. I was amazed at the brightness and the length of time they ran on just a few hours of sunshine.
solar good, light strength not so much By sidehiller from Squaw Valley, CA on 05/25/2009 Pros: Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Emergency light Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: At this price, it seemed like a good idea to buy several & tuck one into the window of each vehicle and bedroom of the house. If they last as long as promised, it's a good deal. I was amused to see "ALL AMERICAN LIGHT" all over the product tag...then in very small letters, "Made in China."
By Forever mom from Southern CA on 05/25/2009 Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this flashlight along with the kind that you shake. I thought I would love it, but the light is almost too dim to be useful for anything but an emergency. The shake flashlights are much brighter.

By mumseyllama from Vermont on 05/14/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking, Spare light Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love these little flashlights! Beam is bright. I'm storing mine in a window. They're so great I've bought one for my husband, each of my college age children, and for my parents. No more looking for batteries when the power goes off!!
Only downside is I have no idea how long the solar cell will work.
By Ranger-girl from Southern Utah on 05/10/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Stays charged Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a light weight, easy to charge and inexpensive light (can't beat [$] for a re-chargeable flashlight. I put it on my dashboard while we drove to our campsite and used the light all evening without it going dim.
