This is just a nice wallet that you could carry alone or in a larger purse. It is large enough to use as a small clutch though it probably would not carry lipstick or anything bulky. It is a quality item and for the price i have purchased several as gifts

Compartment for paper money is on the small side and doesn't hold more than 3-4 bills without having to cram them in.

Fit only a few credit cards in the slots and the wallet would not close. Very disappointing considering its large outer dimensions. Returned to Sierra Trading Post.

Leather is quite smooth and soft, while frame, hinges and clasp seem sufficiently sturdy. Plenty of pockets for cards, cash and ID. The only thing keeping this from being the perfect out-to-dinner clutch: no room for lipstick. Still, I can imagine keeping it as a wallet in a larger purse or brieftote by day, then taking it out for evening - and that's how I plan to use it.
