The trips amounted to about twenty rapels. Upon inspection of the carabener after the trips, I noted excessive wear! Be cautious with this purchase. By JonnieBlaze from WV on 08/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This Biner is a workhorse and a good deal here at SierraTradingPost. The auto locker is smooth and easy to use one handed. However, the description says it is pre-drilled for the BLC (Belay loop controller). It IS NOT pre-drilled for the BLC. It is pre-drilled for some stainless steel bar, but not the BLC. I purchased these so I could make and install my own BLC but now that I see they are not drilled for them, they are a bit worthless for my application. Just be aware of this. They are drilled, just not for the BLC. Simond told me its for some sort of stainless steel bar but they didn't tell me what it's purpose was.
