By Lilla P Fan from Winter Park, FL on 11/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect dress for a ladies' luncheon or casual night out. The lagoon color is drop dead gorgeous. I own a lot of Lilla P items and this is one of my favorites for its versatility and polished look. The shirred waistband is slightly loose, but after a day of wear I noticed that it had draped nicely and the dress was as comfortable a nightgown! I wore it with ballet flats but boots will be cute too.
Pretty dress, loose in waist By Meg from Washington, DC on 10/29/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Swingy, Versatile Cons: Loose waist, Low neckline Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Based on the raves, I was expecting a more form-fitting dress--I think it'd be more flattering. I ordered a medium, and it fits everywhere but the waist, which is way too big. (I usually wear a size 6-8.) This makes the dress hang funny in the back, so I'd never wear it for a dress-up or date night. It is a comfortable dress for kicking around in, but as others have said, the neckline is very low; I have to wear a layer under it during the day.
By bargain shopper from asheville nc on 10/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice, versitle dress...fits well, true to size. Great color. Can be dressed up or down. For the price, expected the fabric to be a bit thicker and to have a better drape. All in all, a good dress though. Wore it to a wedding with heels and then dressed it down for the reception with boots. Both options worked well.
By Adrienne from Portland, OR on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great dress, and great quality. I wanted an alternative to this season's sweater dress, and this is the perfect find! It is a nicely draping quality knit in a rich color. I have worn it with low leather boots, tights and shirt under for trendiness, as well as with ballet flats and nice jewelry for after work. I have never gone wrong with Lilla P.
By exercisejunkienomore from Sussex County, NJ on 10/06/2009 Best Uses: Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Previous reviews mentioned that it made your hips look really big. They were correct. Once I saw that I took the dress right off. The fabric is thin but of good quality. It is more of a warm weather dress. The sizing is good for petites but the styling makes it better suited for tall thin gals without hips.
By Mel in the Mountains from Western North Carolina on 10/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Lilla P. The Pima cotton is so soft and comfortable, a well made piece. With different accessories this dress can be very versatile, work or dressy.
By emom from Front Royal VA on 09/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress is similar to those seen in catalogues featuring fashion conscious designs using South American resources and workmanship. The fabric has an excellent hand, labeled "Made in Peru" and displays a classic design. This is a must have...I love the black and deep blue. Low cut bust may require some adjustment but a pin or cami will only make this look more individual.
By Ms. Nicky from Crofton, MD on 09/16/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't actually worn it yet; just tried it on and the fit couldn't be more perfect. I would compare this dress so others I have that cost 5 times as much!
By Petite prof from Newark, DE on 09/12/2009 Cons: Poor Fit, Thin Fabric Best Uses: Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this because of the positive customer reviews, but was very disappointed. The dress, supposedly elegant, just looked shabby on me. Maybe it is just not meant for petite women (I'm 5'0"). Perhaps the line would be different if I were 5-6 inches taller. The fabric was also disappointing, felt cheap.
By shoofly from westchester, ny on 09/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful style, comfortable fit. Forgiving in the tummy area after having a baby. I am 5'3" medium bone size 4. I ordered a sm and a med, and though the sm works, I would hate to see it shrink even a tiny bit... the med leaves enough room for the fabric to drape better and no fear of washing. Returned the sm, and ordered every color in med! Love it.
