By DesertRat from New Mexico on 08/03/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Simple to Use Best Uses: Climbing, Commuter shoes, Everyday riding, Long-distance riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a nine in womens and I got a size 40. They work great for me. Very comfortable. My only issue has been the tread being to big for me to clip into one set of petals i have that have platforms too. I'm really happy with them though.
By blkoyle from Salt Lake City, UT on 07/06/2009 Best Uses: Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sidi makes great shoes - I never buy anything else. I do however have to drop from a size 42 to a 41 with Sidi's but they hold up incredibly well and feel awesome.
Good for entry level shoe. By jo jessica from Chicago,il on 06/22/2009 Best Uses: Commuter shoes, Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a cyclist and this is my first MTB shoe. It is a good shoe for the price. I'm used to a higher quality from Sidi but for the price it seems ok. They lack ventalilation.
By Love 2 Surf from Southern CA on 06/18/2009 Best Uses: Long-distance riding, Sprinting Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoes are well made & will last me forever. A little scary being clipped in. I thought I was gonna die! It will take some getting use to. The normal size is narrow in width which is good for me as I'm a A-B width. Someone with a wide foot would need the wide size.
Good entry-level MTB shoe. By JC from Arvada, CO on 05/04/2009 Best Uses: Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good Sidi shoes for the $. The pearl colored shell is a little cheap looking. Not well ventilated. However with only 2 velcro straps, these shoes go off and on quick.
By Roget from Kalamazoo, MI on 04/22/2009 Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Good Traction, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Climbing, Commuter shoes, Everyday riding, Long-distance riding, Sprinting Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had and tried Shimano's again...but to small in width and length. I wear size 11 or 45...the SIDI is actually a 45.5, fits perfect! I have been riding for 20 plus years, I wish I had bought SIDI's 20 yrs ago.
Good basic entry level shoe By captbly from laGrande. OR on 04/21/2009 Pros: Low cost for Sidi, Works with my orthotics Best Uses: Used for single track Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually get wide shoes. These are not wide but are not restrictive across the foot. Orthotics always raise my heel up to much so that the heel slips out. I do not have that problem. A slight trim of the insert, removed the heel area, added just enough room for a real good fit.
By Ted from Bedford, TX on 04/10/2009 Cons: Finicky Closures, Flimsy insert Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: too flimsy of a fit
Excellent Sidi for Mountain Biking By Alex from La Habra, CA on 03/25/2009 Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Everyday riding, Long-distance riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used the Blaze for a month now. I was a roadie for some time and decided to switch to mountain bike. I got the Blaze and paired it up with Crank Bros. Candy. Took some adjustments to settle but the Blaze was flexible enough and easy to adjust. The placement of the SPD cleat is easily adjustable. I've tried the Blaze and rode for hours - even fell on a lake once. The vent on this shoe was so good that I only felt soaking wet for about 10-20 minutes. I would highly recommend Sidi to anyone thinking of getting a MTB shoe. Eye'n on the Dominator for my next Sidi for more flexibility.
