By Alpenglow from Washington DC on 10/20/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Long battery life Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great little light. Very bright. Has three settings. Red Led, Blue Led, and Xenon. Run times are 50 hours on LEDs and 45 minutes on XENON. The Led settings will be bright enough for most uses.
By Scout from North Carolina on 06/07/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Daughter liked the size and brightness, when she needed hands free she put it her cap and it stayed. She needed a flashlight that didn't weigh a lot. She was hiking 3 days through Roan Mountain. She needed to replace batteries the second day, thank goodness the batteries are small.

By Uncle Mike from Grand Rapids, MI on 04/26/2009 Pros: Choice of battery life, Choice of light colors Cons: Hard slick plastic body Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I road-tested this light on a recent two-week camping trip in Arizona and New Mexico. With three triple-A's for power it doesn't light up the other side of the canyon, but it makes a nice personal light that will be useful for anyone who ventures outside at night for fun rather than professionally. It's easy to carry in your jeans pocket and easy to hang up someplace convenient when that's what you'd rather do. As for the light, click the butt cap once and you get the red LEDs--great for preserving night vision and perfect inside the camper when others have gone to bed. Click again, you get the blue LEDs, just the thing for those after-dark trips to the campground restroom. Click again, you get the white xenon bulb, perceptually the strongest of the three and the one to choose when color discrimination is important.
