By Don from Sanborn, NY on 08/31/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice tool with a really nice feel in the hand. I have other name brand hackle pliers but this will likely become my first choice. I like the larger size and the heavier feel of this tool. Great price.

Big tying tools from Dr. Slick By higgy from Dallas area on 04/24/2009 Pros: Easy to find on the bench, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Large hex handle in brushed silver stays put and is easy to locate. Extra large tools fit large hands and also accomodate large flies (salt). Too soon to comment on durability.
I bought the set because it looked like a good deal - price is right and tools look good, perform well. Tying knot tool/head tool in base of each handle.
By JackB from Caye Caulker, Belize on 03/25/2009 Cons: Jaws need more tention Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The jaws that hold the hackle aren't stiff enough for large Stremer Hackles when you need to "Palmer the Hackle." If you pull too hard when Palmering, the hackle will release from the Hackle pliers ~ "So don't pull too hard!" Great Tool for the price and is wonderful for Fresh Water smaller patterns or small Bone Fish Patterns.
