Drinking out of a nalgeen bottle is a balancing act, kind of awkward at best. This inserts into the opening in the bottle and makes drinking much easier. Buy one, you'll tell all your friends about it.
ease drinking out of wide mouth bottles By cj from SW Michigan on 05/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Lightweight Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered more as the splash guard works well and prevents spilling in the car or bathing my face when in the kayak or drinking in general. A little flimsy on one side, but all in all a great product.

It keeps me from dumping half my water down my chin when drinking from my Nalgene bottle. Besides, it is nice to see a bright yellow smiley face when I unscrew the cap.

By zac from bozeman, mt on 03/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It works great on Nalgene. I had some bottles that I didn't realize were much larger-mouthed than a nalgene, so it didn't fit those off-branded bottles, but that is not the fault of the splash guard.
It's a nice addition to your wide-mouth bottle, but make sure you have the same size opening as a nalgene.
By asta from The World on 03/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Lightweight, Tough Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great little addition to keep from getting water up your nose when you drink from your Nalgene bottle. It fits in the mouth of the bottle, and doesn't disturb the existing lid.
