doesn't let in as much sand as similar aqua shoes
don't like the way it laces up like a regular shoe instead of an aqua shoe
By Athletic mom from Montclair, NJ on 06/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes seem to run short. I had to send them back. Otherwise they seem like they would be comfortable shoes -- although I am not certain they are truly for amphibious wear.
By sheeboo from PA on 05/31/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These must be seconds because they are not sized correctly. I would recommend only buying if you order a few sizes to find one that fits properly
By DFDdesign from St. Paul, MN on 05/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Easy On and Off, Lightweight Best Uses: Canoeing, Casual Wear, Kayaking, Rafting, Wading Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just purchased these shoes for a spring Boundary Waters trip and was very happy with them. After wearing a pair of Keens last year, I wanted some water shoes that didn't let so many stones and sand in and protected my feet a little bit more.
These are comfortable to wear to work or around town, although after walking almost 5 miles on a portage trail/forest service road, I wouldn't recommend doing a long hike in them. The heel is a little low in the back, but it didn't seem to bother me after I wore them. I ended up wearing a half size bigger in these, as they were a little more comfortable bigger!
I would buy another pair next year By Pebbs from Bloomington, CA on 04/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Went for a hike to a local mountain top the first day I wore them. No blisters or any other problems.
By Happy go lucky from Seattle, wa on 03/19/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy On and Off, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Walking/Hiking Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I almost kept these despite the fact that they were just a the tiniest bit small. They had a nice look and very lightweight, with a comfortable toebox. I wasn't hoping for too much, since I normally have to at least get wides in running shoes to get them big enough. But, these were closer to fitting in my normal size than most.
By Char Char from Asheville, NC on 03/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Traction, Lightweight Cons: Difficult On and Off Best Uses: Casual Wear, Walking/Hiking Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great shoes with great traction. The mesh allows them to breathe and for water to drain out if they should get wet. My only complaint is that there is some mesh on the heel of the shoe so when you are putting your foot in the shoe the mesh presses down. I quite regularly have to pull up on the heel because it feels like it is sliding down. This does not cause blisters for me but it is a bit annoying.
All in all I would recommend this shoe, but if you have a high volume foot I would definitely wear it around in the house for a while to ensure a good fit.
