comfortable but clown like By too little time for casual wearing from sparks. on 04/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: Looks goofy, Too Stiff Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was hoping it would look a little more dressy.
Better looking than I expected By Bob from Morristown, TN on 04/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Looks Great, Stable Cons: Not Enough Cushioning Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted comfortable shoes to wear with khakis to work. Dress shoes are too heavy and uncomfortable; athletic shoes too geeky. I was afraid these would be like bowling shoes, but they are a good compromise. A lady at work says they are still too geeky but my wife doesn't and I don't care anyway: the narrow size fits my narrow feet really well and the leather is extremely soft. They are not as cushy as athletic shoes, though.

You can usually find dress shoes and running shoes. The Afton was a quick decision when I saw them. Real 4E's.

By Kevin from CA on 01/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, No Arch Support Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is difficult to find good looking casual shoes in size 13EEEE, and these Red Wings fit true to size look great. The supplied insoles provide decent cushioning but little arch support. Overall they are comfortable with only one problem. The inside top of the right heel is causing a blister on the back of my ankle. Hopefully, after these are broken in, it will no longer be an issue.
