I originally ordered them for a trip to Florida, but they'll be great for outside play this summer. I love how the toes are more protected than some other sandels which will be good for riding scooters, biking or sports. Plus they look really cool & the boys love them. I did end up with the next size up for them. They must run small. I think they'll hold up and be very durable. Very happy with this purchase.

My 5-year old son usually wears a size 1, and when we ordered that size, it was far too small. So, I would say order at least 1/2 to one full size up in this sandal...as he has never taken a size 2 in anything until now.
