Minor flaw, but my son's favorite shoe By MOM from Durango, CO on 03/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Everyday school shoes Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My son showed me that the front of the sole was peeling back (slightly) after about one week of wear. I don't think this is typical for this brand. If it gets worse we'll have to return them.

Finally, my son wears Merrells By Crikey from Orlando, FL on 02/09/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Great Cushioning, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size View On Shoes: I'm Into Shoes Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my 7-year old son who is really picky about shoes. He does not like laces and have been using velcro-securing shoes for the longest time. I'm a big Merrell fan and I wanted to get him into trying out these shoes. Since there are technically no laces to tie, he adapted to them without issues and seems to really like wearing them. He has not complained about discomfort, so I think it's pretty comfortable for him.

Add at least once size and A+ By gluvsmax from Greenville, SC on 02/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Great Cushioning, Stylish Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small View On Shoes: I'm Into Shoes Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these for my 5 year old son, who has a VERY low volume foot. Ordering 1/2 size up to accomodate for growth wasn't enough. Getting these shoes on was a struggle, and once they were on, he said they were too tight. I exchanged for a full size up from that, and it is still a struggle to get them on, but they are no longer "tight" on his foot. I figure they will loosen up over time to make it easier to don and doff. So I am otherwise happy with this larger size. As always with Merrell, they are well made and look good, and will be able to take what a 5 year old can deal out. Just order at least one full size up, and reconsider altogether if your child had a wider or higher volume foot.
Adorable and practical shoe By Gina from San Antonio, TX on 01/31/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Great Cushioning, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small View On Shoes: I'm Really Into Shoes Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes are good looking and my daughters love them. My older daughter (10) liked the idea that they didn't all come in pink! They run a bit narrow and small so prepare for that. We will be using them for the outdoors!
Great maker, disappointing shoe By Emma's mom from Philadelphia, PA on 01/29/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Great Cushioning Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Very Flexible Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small View On Shoes: I'm Into Shoes Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We were sorry to find that these Merrells were very narrow and tight in comparison to our other Merrell sneakers. Entry and exit was nearly impossible with serious pressure points on sides near the entry. We've not found this with other Merrell styles we've had.
