best running shoe ever, great support By active in NW from WA on 09/10/2009 Pros: BREATHES WELL, Excellent fit, Great shock absorption, Great Support, High quality material, Very light Best Uses: Running on black - top, Running on uneven terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these running shoes. This is the forth consecutive Kayano pair for me. They fit very well, offer great support and they are light-weight. I highly recommend this shoe.
By Hiker Gal from Rochester, MN on 07/24/2009 Pros: Breathe Well, Comfortable, Look good, Supportive Best Uses: Running, Walking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing Asic Gel Kayanos for years, each time replacing the previous pair with the new year's offering with one exception. This summer I replaced my Gel Kayano 15's with last year's model, the Gel Kayano 14.
Unlike the 15, the 14 had plenty of forefoot cushioning and was immediately comfortable. Though I put about 500 miles on the 15's I never really came to love that shoe. I was thrilled to be able to go back to the 14's.
By Joz from VA on 07/12/2009 Pros: Great arch support, Nicely cushioned sole, Very well made Best Uses: Agility with my dogs Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
By True size 7 from Boston, MA on 06/22/2009 Cons: Smaller than size marked Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Buy a bigger size than you usually need since they are sized wrong. I have bought many pairs of this model, but the current version just runs small.
Asics Gel Kayano 14 Running Shoes By Rebecca from Charleston, SC on 06/20/2009 Cons: Aching joints, Calf and shine pain, Not enough support Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been running with Asics for a decade. I'm not sure why these shoes are so bad and feel so different but I absolutely hate them. I loved all 20 of my last Asics. This is the first pair of Kayano I have tried so maybe that doesn't work for me but I got these to start my marathon training with and I'm thinking I will have to fork out another [$]for a new shoe even thoughI have only run in these for about two weeks. Really dissapointed.
Comfortable right out of the box. By JJR from SF Bay Area on 06/10/2009 Pros: By far the best Asics Best Uses: Running on street and gym Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are, by far, the best Asics Gel Kayano made. They fit my feet like a glove right out of the box. No "breaking in" period. Unfortunately, they no longer make these. Reluctant to try the newest model, I bought 2 pairs instead! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Consistently Superior Performance. By Patti from San Diego on 06/08/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Every year a new design, but always the same fabulous shoe.
Nothing compares for my feet...
By More than a school teacher from Jenison, MI on 05/27/2009 Pros: Feet don't hurt after a r, Fit my running form, Light Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I always watch for a sale on these shoes. They are the most comfortable running shoes I've found for my feet. I have a decently high arch and both my shoes always wear evenly when I run. They are strictly my running shoes for a year or so, depending on miles I go, then I start looking for another sale.
Great running shoes for a marathon By reluctant runner from Wilmette, IL on 05/25/2009 Pros: I had no adjustment time Best Uses: Running marathons Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I went from the standard Asics to the gels -
without any adjustment. The gels have more cushioning and make running longer distances easier on the body.
By Asics Lover from Tucson, AZ on 05/24/2009 Cons: No dark color options Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had bought some Saucony's from Sierra Trading post but they didn't fit [...]These Asics are comfortable and really good quality for the price.
