Redington Barrier Isl. Jacket By fishmhard from Lodi, Ca on 11/13/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Pockets Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a lightweight wading rain jacket. Unfortunately it is not made of breathable material & holds condensation from body heat. But, it's a good rain jacket that's easy to keep in my truck for those times when someone (me?) forgets to bring one. I'm sure it will see plenty of use. I ordered a XL but could wear a Large in this jacket.

By Its Just Me from Lawrenceburg, IN (Purchased in Cody, WY) on 05/06/2009 Pros: Attractive design, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Pockets Best Uses: Casual Wear, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing, To work on wet days Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this jacket to keep myself dry on rainy days. It was not my intent to be very activbe in it other than walking to and from my car, home and office. I had set out to buy a rain slicker, but this jacket is that and much more along with being a very stylish and colorful coverup.
By Jbwilkeuph from Massachusetts on 03/26/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Lots of Storage Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fly Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't gotten it wet but a nice looking, well made jacket. As a woman it might be a bit long to tuck into waders. My only concern it that material may get ripped in brush etc... As I make my way to the river!
Nicely made, but its still impermeable By Rob from Seattle, WA on 03/20/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Pockets Cons: Not Breathable, Ventilation Best Uses: Bank, Boat, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing, Still Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nicely fit jacket with a well made hood and two large waterproof pockets. But it is an impermeable plastic raincoat without any ventilation. I cannot visualize using it and being active. It would be a sweat suit. However, if one stayed still, it would be an excellent raincoat, as it is impermeable.
