By basia from stamford, ct on 10/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is comfy, warm and not too bulky. But the most important - it looks super! It is stylish and cool. I love it.
I wish there was a way to completely separate the top from the bottom though.
Two pieces for the price of one By nightowl from Longmont, CO on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pants and jacket can be worn separately or zipped together to be used as a 'suit' making it a great value for versitility especially in black for mixing/matching. If you are a tall person (I'm 5'3"), you may find the suit too restricting when zipped together. Very nice material and workmanship. Spyder typically runs a little small, so for layering, I ordered one size up.
By Dr. Mommy from Hagerstown, MD on 08/11/2009 Best Uses: Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This ski suit was very disappointing. The mint color was odd. My daughter looked at it (age 4), made a face, and shook her head. I was not able to pull the pants up over my hips. I am a size 4-6 and the size small was too small. I should have known that at such a reduced price it was too good to be true. The style was cute. I think a medium in black would have been fine, but it was not available.
A good surprize from Spyder ... By Wine Goddess from Seven Springs Mountain Resort, PA on 04/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Spyder is finally making ski wear again that fits me! Spyder changed their sizing a few years back so that "big girls need not apply". I guess they recognized that they are missing a section of the market and are reaching out a bit. While top is a little snug and bottoms a bit big and "low riding", I was pleasantly surprized by how well it fits and looks. Can be used zipped together or separately with other jackets/pants. Appears to be more snow boarding than skiing apparel, but works for both. Since ski season is over, I didn't have a chance to use it to attest to "on the hill" performance. Looks like "mid weight" insulation. I liked this so well, I ordered the other color. Sans the ratty looking fake fur on the hood, I'll have a whole new updated look for the 09-10 ski season!
By Bunny Slopes from Knoxville, TN on 03/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Getting Started Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was a great purchase that I will use for ski trips for many years. It does run big, so go down a size.
Wow looking suit, funky fit By izzy from arizona on 03/03/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Such a great idea! But the sizing is very strange. The bottoms are huge and the jacket is small in the shoulders and chest, large in the waist and hips. TOOOO bad, I love the style and idea. Had to return.
Not quite what I expected By vailgirl from Baltimore, MD on 02/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Larger than I anticipated Best Uses: Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this in an extra-small because I am a size 0 and usually fit into Spyer's size 2, however it is pretty roomy and very long. It is more of a snowboarding type outfit. It has a ton of pockets and you can wear a belt with the pants if they are too large. The pants are more of a low rise. I ordered it in the winter mint color and it looks great.
