I bought the GTS 7 last year from sierra trading post when the GTS 8 was $100 in running stores. Now that the GTS 9 is out, I bought the GTS 8. In five years, you will find me buying the GTS 13. Great for 5K, 10K, 12K...havn't used them for half marathon, but I'm sure they will work

By Decent 1 from Orlando on 06/05/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Stable Best Uses: Pavement, Track, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I run 5-6 days a week and the first pair held up so nicely I bought them again. I have flat feet and they give great stabilization. The only reason they didn't get five stars...I had a pair of New Balance years ago that nothing has come close to. Great shoe!
By Dills from Maryland on 06/04/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable Best Uses: Pavement, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After running in Mizuno shoes for the past few years I decided to give the brooks shoes a try since recently my knees have been bothering. Not sure if it is just bc they are new but they make running enjoyable again. I'm not a hard core runner but I really think these are some great shoes for short or even long distance runs with the stability and flexibility they offer. Great product highly recommend.
By Drofnib from Athens, GA on 06/03/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Stable Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My first pair of Brooks were Adrenaline GTS 6, bought on sale last year. I'll be a Brooks man for life bc/ they fit my feet so well. My feet are wide in the front but thin at the heel, which makes finding shoes that fit tough. Brooks 2E is perfect though. I didn't have to buy a size too long, nor too wide (4E), meaning I don't have to lace them super tight like I've had to in the past with other shoes.
Plus, for all the time I've spent in my old Brooks, they are still in pretty decent shape, so I'm expecting the GTS8s will hold up just as well.
By Tim from Laurel, MD on 06/02/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Pavement, Track, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In it from the beginning, Brooks makes very stable, long-wearing shoes. They also realize feet have width and height, as well as length. I used their size diversity, with your fit recommendations to get the right pair. Without both they would have been too big. Feet's happy, wallet too.
